anybody. we usually choose people who are reallly helpful, post a lot on the board in questiona dn know a lot on the subject of the board. for example, i just PMed and then made a mod someone who posted a lot on the games boards.

For a regular mod, it's all the other mods. For gmods., it's everyone on the site.

Ok, what I ment was that I like Arianhrod's idea. EXCEPT I think that global moderators/admin NOT just regular moderators for the particular board should be able to nominate a regular board moderator. I agree with the polling idea/the debate idea for the global moderators. I just have that one sugestion.

i think ALL the mods should decide on regular mods and everyone should decide on admin.

I think it should still be up to the mods from that particular board to offer nomination. After that, all mods/ admin can debate.

that sounds good, although for some boards then only mods are me, you and ldragontongue. but tha'ts fine.
so
normal mods 1. mods for that board debate 2. all the mods debate 3. we tell the person 4. everyone debates
admin/gmods 1. we tell the person 2. everyone debates

Ok, so global mods/Ana count as a moderator for the particular board. Ok, that works.
Anyways, Ana, I think you got the process a little wrong.
(note: admins=g. mods/admin)
normal mods 1. mods for that board nominate/debate 2. all the mods debate 3. we tell the person 4. everyone votes yes or no in the poll
admin/gmods 1. admins nominate/debate person 2. we tell person 3. all mods debate 4. people debate

We didn't decide to do that.
1 mods. for that board debate 2 inform person of eligibility 3 all mods. debate 4 set up poll
gmods:
1 admin/gmods. debate 2 inform person of eligibility 3 everyone debates and poll set up.

I talked with ldragontongue yesterday, and she said that was fine, so I guess we're finished here. I'll leave it unlocked, though.
