Hey! I haven't posted any songs yet, so why don't I? I have a Yamaha Clavinova Keyboard that I record my stuff on. For those of you not familiar with Clavinova's, you can stick a floppy disk into them, and create MIDI files. So, I have MIDI's to go with my songs! The background music gets kinda' drowned out, and sometimes messed up, from the keyboard to the computer, but it will still give you a vague idea of what it should sound like, and what the tune is.
Memories:
As the day begins to darken
As the nightfall claims the sky
As the sun begins to fade
And as the moon appears so high
As I sit here by the playground
Looking back on days long past
All the days, once long forgotten
Flood my mind again at last.
I see you play
I see you turn away
I though you were my friend
I though you’d be there till the end
I though you promised me that this always would stay
But now turn your back and leave me in dismay!
REFRAIN: How could I have known what you would do to me?
How could I have known the pain that came?
How could I have seen the darkness coming?
Back then, when I thought life was just a game.
How could I have known that you’d deceive me?
How could I have known you’d leave me so?
You used to say that we’d be friends forever
How could I ever know that you’d let go?
As I replay all the days there
As I see you on that slide
As I feel the joy we had once
All the happiness inside
As I speed up to the ending
As I feel the bitter part
I remember all the pain that filled
The bottom of my heart.
I see you play
I see you turn away
I though you were my friend
I though you’d be there till the end
I though you promised me that this always would stay
But now turn your back and leave me in dismay!
Refrain
That joy I thought I’d never feel again
The days we shared together
All the love I used to feel
That was too good to be real
But now I’ve found a new beginning
And a better friendship starts
And what you did once now means nothing
‘Cause you can’t tear me apart.
As the see the slide we played on
And as I recall that spring
All the memories come back to me
As I sit upon the swing
As I think what fun we had there
And what happened once we split
Why you turned on me I still don’t know
But I’m all over it.
We talk and play
And they won’t turn away
They’ll always be my friends
They’ll always be there till the end
They’ve seen the things I saw from you and still stayed strong
I’ve left you for a place where now I can belong
Refrain

www.freewebs.com/jennysphotos/memories.midThe background music sounds kinda' icky. It sounds much different/better on the keyboard. It will still give you a sense of the tune though. The bridge is a little messed up, I know. I'm still working on it.
It's an ok song. I've written better.
Warning: The Next Song Contains Political Commentary! There's nothing offensive in it at all, but I just wanted you to know that it is completly opinion-based before you read it. Some people don't see the political commentary in it at all. If you've read my posts on the Iraq War debate you'll probably see what I am getting at, however.
I see the faces on the magazine
I see them crying in the town.
I see numbers on the TV screen,
once green, now red, once up, now down.
I see them standing and it makes me feel stronger,
You look at me, I turn to you,
I say that we're not gonna take it any longer,
There must be something we can do.
Everything is crazy in this world that's ever-changing
but I won't give up, I'm gonna defend.
And even though it's hard we are not going to give up fighting,
Cause the emphases is on the end.
Cause the emphases is on the end.
I'm facing chaos in it's purest form,
In wars I never would intend.
Still I would run right through a thunder storm,
To reach the rainbow at the end.
The pain that we must bear, this sorrowful emotion,
These things must all be set aside.
To find that locked-up in this terror and commotion,
There is peace somewhere, trapped inside.
Everything is chaos, and there's turmoil and confusion,
it is too much for me to comprehend.
But, we'll keep going towards our goal and we will stand united
cause the emphases is on the end,
cause the emphases is on the end.
If pain is what we wish to be free of
How can a war make things alright?
But to keep pain away from those we love,
We'll have to turn around and fight!
Everything is crazy in this world that's ever-changing,
It is to much for me to comprehend!
And everything is chaos and there's turmoil and confusion
Still the emphases is on the end,
Still the emphases is on the end!
Still the emphases is on the end.
<www.freewebs.com/jennysphotos/The End.mid> The MIDI for this song is much better. I also like the song better. The background music is kinda' drowned out though.
