ok, after some thinking(and some help from susanne) i realized something. and it could really be true. and seeing as lately my theories about book 6 have been true, that's saying something.
ok, you know how rab stole the real horcrux and destroyed it but died from the potion? well, what if rab is regulus black? we dont' know if he has a middle name, but he might...and he's dead. so he couldn't destroyed the horcrux. but i doubt it. in book 6, when they were cleaning out grimmauld place, jkr mention a large gold locket none of them could open. i think they threw it out. WHAT IF THAT WAS THE HORCRUX?? they threw it out, i think, but it might be in grimmauld place. and if so, harry owns it right now...what do yout hink??

Well that is true everything and I really think RAB is SiriusĀ“s brother Regulus Black. Andf i also think that he wanted to leave the death eaters thats why he died....

i dont think r.a.b. is regulus. he seems a bit dumb to me from the way they mention him. not dumb that way but not exactly bright enough to find the location of the lock and stuff. probably a new character
and if he said on the note that he intends to destroy it, wouldnt it be destroyed then? so the locket in grimmauld is just a locket, not a horcrux anymore if it was in the first place

i think R.A.B could be a person who we havent heard of yet. or we have but its slight. plus it could be a nickname. and i dont think regulus is that smart to have found the cave. all im saying is harry better not throw that note out!!!

RAB could be Regulus black, the 'heavy locket they could not open' could be the horcrux (book 5, the Black's), and the Horcrux could've been replaced by a locket from the Black's.
In which case... I'm scared Mundungus might've sold it to someone >>. But apparently it's destroyed...
I have odd theories.

I don't think regulus is R.A.B because R.A.B sounds like someone who was strong willed and powerful, but from Sirius description in OotP he kind of sounds to me like a peter pettigrew type. Sirius said regulus probably wasn't important enough to be killed by voldemort but killed on voldemorts orders. i reallythink that if regulus had the brains to be R.A.B then he would have definitely been killed by voldemort.

Hmm...But what is Voldemort didn't know that Regulus had the locket?

ok, let me clear it up: what harry found was NOT a real horcrux, icesk8monkey. the real one was destroyed by rab, who also drank the potion and is dead now, but people couldn've thought that voldie killed regulus or such.
