Lavender had spent a wonderful night and gotten a lot of beauty sleep. during the day she had lounged around reading while doing various beauty masks, working on her hair, etc..now she was getting ready for the dance. She was wearing a beautiful, light blue dress with white curliques and long, wide sleeves, and her hair was styled in a complicated bun and hairband. Overall, she thought she looked rather medieval, which sort of went with Hogwarts and all the candles, she thought. She went over to Samantha to see how she was doing and was amazed by the flurry of action. all over, girls were running around, putting on makeup, worrying about their dresses...

Lestat joined the other young men in bewitching paint balloons and fighting with them. Patrokles had heard about a muggle sprot, jousting, over break, so he and Lestat decided to modify it for broomsticks. they had planned to use first years instead of lances, but the first years weren't tall enough. and they kept squirming. so they used breadsticks from the kitchens.
Lestat, wiping breadcrums and paint from his face, wondered how girls got ready for the ball.
Lestat shrugged, turning back to the melee. They still had ages.
