I think if people want to quit, that's their business.

ya it is there business but i mean they shouldnt get off that easily. after like everything we have done for them and stuff. and if you take off points from a members house, they wont care because well, they arent in it anymore. i mean, you are like punishing the house for something someone else did and it might not be fair because some houses dont have a lot of points. there is no punishment we could give that they would actually care about

I agree with Arianhrod. And, what if someone was just to busy to do HWH anymore because of homework, sports, etc. and they'd rather quit than be inactive. Should they be punished? Inactive members you CONTINUE to send emails and PM's to, you still do things for them, etc. Some one who quit is gone. End of story.

ok, how about i put
"please make sure you want to join, because you CAN quit but i hate it when members quit!"
or something of the sort. and all that can be included in the policy as well.

Alright. It's fine to say that you should be sure you want to be a member. You should! I will put this in the policy.

you might also wanna put the quidditch rules in the policy when ihave them, but that's on the other debate topic.

Sounds good. Also, put in the policy that, in order to quit, you need to email Ana and all the teachers who's classes you are taking. That way, we know if you've quit.

I KNOW. However, since that is also going on right now, I'm making a note since our decision on inactive members will be in it.

good point. we've decided how we can tell weather a member is inactive. So far it's a warning, then "probation" and then we delete them. however, whould members who we KNOW want to be members but do very little(don't fulfill requirments) be punished by galleon deduction, etc...? Such as my friends who joined and are inactive.

How's a galleon deduction suppost to affect someone who does nothing. If you get that person to send 5 emails and enter 1 contest, they can stay! But, should we treat anyone diffrently because we know them? Maybe that's a little unfair. And if someone wants to be a member, why are they inactive?

I agree, however, some people are just busy. Email them a warning and tell them that, if they want to be a member, it's important for them to participate.

i email people warnings, sometimes they don't reply. but my best friend joined to be nice to me, and she's really busy, and if i kicked her out i'd feel like a jerk and she'd feel hurt.
