ok, besides, Ana, emails are not on the staff site as, when this new policy goes into effect, I will not know which staff members have hidden/public emails, and do not want to violate that part of the policy by putting their emails up on my staff site.

Okay, that's fine. You should just say contact the webmistress, then.

Ana, once again you're making no sense. Please clarify that last sentence.
I'm going on a class trip to Mackinac Island for two days, so I won't be on these forums until then.

i said i'd email them and let them know about the policy and everything and weather they want their email hidden. however, they can't have it hidden on their class site or wherever.

Thanks. Also suggest that teachers can make an email specific for this website, if they're uncomfortable.

yes, i will do that. lately, i've been getting everyone's emails and writing them down for MY OWN reference(no one else has acess to them) and e-mailed inactive members. so now i can e-mail the teachers easily and let them know. i was also going to edit the sorting questions to ask if people wanted their email hidden.

However, if they join the forums, hidden-email people can also be contacted by global moderators. And, included, people with hidden emails can only get emails ABOUT THE SITE (or forums), from Ana (or, if they are on the forums, me/Arianhrod), AND their teachers can send them email ABOUT THE CLASS ONLY.

i see no problem with joining the forum because you can hide your email etc and their email will not be disclosed and of course you and me will not spam mail them.

Agreed. How soon will you send an email asking whether people want their emails hidden, Ana?

It should be an option for teachers to hide their email, and have homework be submitted to you and forwarded to them.

I don't think that person is in either of my classes, and I've never received homework from him/her.
